The vision for a value-added innovation and training hub started in 2021 where industry leaders in forestry, education, and the value-added wood sector.  2023 saw the award of a grant to the Fraser Basin Council to hire a project manager. A project manager was hired in 2024 and courses will be offered in 2025!

The Cariboo Wood Innovation Hub is grateful to work on the ancestral territories of the Northern Secwepemc Nation, specifically T’exelc, and regionally on the ancestral territories of the Northern Secwepemc, Tsilhqot’in and Southern Dakelh Nations.
